Michelle Wie leads the Canadian Open Championship




Michelle Wie remains in the lead at the CN Canadian Women's Open after shooting a 3-under 69 in the second round. She is currently tied for 81st place in the 156-player field at St. Charles Country Club.
She is at 10-under overall Friday after opening the tournament with a round of 65 that included a hole-in-one. Wie's only career victory came last November at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational.

Beginning her round on the 10th tee, Lee-Bentham made four straight pars before carding her only birdie on the par-5 14th hole. She followed that with another par, but a bogey on 16 returned her to even par. She made additional pars on 17 and 18 to turn at even. Lee-Bentham’s front nine included bogeys on four, seven and nine to result in the 3-over scorecard.
"I think they were very disappointed on 11 today when I made a bogey," Wie said.

Michelle Wie leads the CN Canadian Women’s Open at 7-under 65. Sarah Kemp is three strokes behind at 4-under 68 and defending champion Suzann Pettersen is in third place with a 3-under 69.
